Club Annual General Meeting
The club AGM will take place at Summerhill Visitors Centre on Saturday 25th February at 10am. All club members are welcome to attend. If anyone intends to stand for any of the club offical roles please let me know in advance of the meeting.
That reminds me can all members please pay either John Butterfield or myself their yearly club fees of £5.00 per member.

Coaching etc over the next few weeks 2012
The following programme of events outline coaching over the next few weeks.
28th January 2012- Coaching at Willington BMX Track. 1030-1230hrs.
4th February 2012- Coaching at Hartlepool. 1000-1200hrs.
11th February 2012-Coaching at Willington BMX Track. 1030-1230hrs.
18th February 2012. No coaching due to Nationals at Manchester.
25th February 2012.-Coaching at Hartlepool. 1000-1200hrs.

2012 Season
Here are a couple of important pieces of information from BC, so that you can be ready for 2012.
1. Any rider taking part in January’s national in Manchester will still need to have Silver or Gold membership and a 2012 Racing Licence,
they can be puchased online at

2. British BMX Series 2012 BC be announcing the full 2012 series details once all applicants have confirmed. They are waiting for 2 more replies, so hopefully all will be known by the end of this week or early next week.
3. BMX World Championships 2012British Cycling’s developers are still working on ensuring the online registration system is operational. They hope to open entries for the 2012 World Championships next week and then for the National Series as soon after that as possible. North Region Club Championships Sunday 9th October 2011
Directions From the North.
Leave the M6 Southbound Juntion 27. At the top of the sliproad turn right onto A5029.Almost immediately turn right in front of the garage onto B5250. After approx. 400 metres turn right. Follow this road, take 1st exit at mini roundabout. At next mini roundabout turn left onto A49. After approximately 1.5 miles you will see the Allison Arms pub. Turn left opposite the pub into Chisnall Lane, PR7 5EA. Follow the lane, it bears right to the track.
Format for North Region Club Champs 9th October 2011 at Mid Lancs
Race Classes
Girls 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16+ including lady cruisers.
Mixed 6 and under
Boys 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17-29, 30+
16+ open payback.
Cruisers 17-29, 30-39, 40+
Old School.
4 or more will constitute a class. Less than 4 will be merged with the next class and count as one category.
Silver or gold BC membership is required to race in an expert category at this event. This also applies to Old School.
Expert riders, including Old School, must be members of a north region club if they want their points to count. This is usually the first named club on your BC membership card.
The use of clips by riders under the age of 13 is not permitted.
Novice class will be age on the day. Novice age groups will be determined by the number of novices attending. Although their points will not count, they will receive awards on the day.
Usual race fees; Payback £10, Expert £8 and Novice £5.
Mid Lancs will be awarding £10 to the winner of each category.
Each club’s top 10 results will count towards its score.
Registration 9.30 to 11am.
Split pen practice 9.30 to 12 noon.
Racing at approx 12.30.
Motos.
Break to update sheets.
Run offs, semis and novice finals.
Novice presentation during break to update sheets.
Finals, followed by Summer Series presentation and presentation of Club Champs trophy to winning club.
Coaching and Gate Practice Dates
As the racing season has now started coaching and gate practice will not be running every week. I will post the dates here for the coming weeks with regular updates.
Coaching will run on Saturdays from 1000-1200hrs and gate practice will be on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm -8pm.

Membership Fees
It is that time of year again when membership fees are due. The fees remain at £5 per year and can be paid to John Butterfield at club coaching sessions. Please pay asap.
